Sonita joined Strategy Matters in the summer of 2016 as an undergraduate intern. She is currently enrolled at Colby College studying Global Studies and Anthropology with the intention of pursuing a career in the social sector. Outside of the classroom, she is involved with various diversity and community development initiatives such as being a co-president of the Asian Students Association, a Diversity Associate for the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, and a discussion facilitator for Campus Conversations on Race. Her role in these organizations as well as her previous engagements in a range of leadership development summits have provided her with experience in organizational administration, program planning, team building, and other organizational development activities. In addition to administrative and managerial expertise, she has also collected research, writing, and presentation skills through her academic studies.

Recently, Sonita was accepted into the New Sector Alliance Fellowship program for young professionals interested in the social sector. In addition to interning full-time for Strategy Matters, she also receives professional training and mentoring to further strengthen her existing expertise while gaining new skills.
