Alison joined the Strategy Matters team in 2015. She has multi-sector, cross-issue experience including work with nonprofits, government, and philanthropy on issues including education, criminal justice, immigration, and issues associated with child and family poverty. Alison’s experience also includes planning and facilitation of professional learning or strategy-focused sessions for senior leadership.
Most recently Alison was a program manager at Mass Insight Education where she co-led the State Development Network for School Turnaround; this work included designing and implementing solutions in collaboration with state education agencies focusing on improving performance for the lowest-performing K-12 schools. Additionally, at Mass Insight Education she identified and developed new strategic business opportunities nationwide, managed internal and external communication channels including social media, conducted both qualitative and quantitative research, and contributed to multiple publications across issue areas.
Alison received her MPP with a concentration in education policy from Brown University and her BA in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. She is also conversational in Spanish.
